Dylan Strome is the 1st Washington player since 2018 with 10+ points in a single playoff game. The Washington forward assisted on John Carlson`s goal in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup second round series with Carolina (3:1, 1-1).
The 28-year-old Canadian has 10 points (2+8) in 7 games in the current playoffs.
Strome became the first Capitals player since the 2018 championship to score double-digit points in a single playoff game.
In the 2018/19 season, Alexander Ovechkin managed to score 9 (4+5) points in 7 games.
Let`s add that Strome`s 10 points in 7 games is a repeat of Ovechkin`s record for active Capitals players in the fastest time to reach such a mark in one playoff game (Alexander had 10 in 7 in the 2010 and 2018 playoffs). The club analyzed by ice hockey livescore record is held by Dino Cissarelli (10 in 5, 1990).
