Edmonton has agreed to a contract extension with coach Chris Knoblauch. According to TSN insider Darren Dreger, the Oilers` new agreement with the head coach will be for several years.
The current contract of 47-year-old Chris Knoblauch runs until the end of the 2025/26 season.
Knoblauch took over Edmonton on November 12, 2023, succeeding Jay Woodcroft as head coach. Under his leadership, the club won 46 wins in the last 69 matches of the 2023/24 season and reached the Stanley Cup finals, where they lost to Florida in 7 games.
