Azarenka missed the tournament in Auckland for personal reasons

Former World number one tennis player Victoria Azarenka from Belarus will miss the tournament in Auckland (New Zealand). Azarenka informed the organizers that for `personal reasons` she would not be able to take part in the race that started on January 1.

The tennis player returned briefly to the court in late June this year after the birth of her son, Leo, but was subsequently involved in a court battle with her former child custody partner.

Until she resolves, she can not leave California where she lives, for which she did not play until the end of the season and failed to help Belarus in the Fed Cup final against the United States in Minsk in November.

Azarenka was hoping for a result by hockey-predictions in the case by the end of December, but there was a delay again and it would remain in the US. The 28-year-old tennis player for the last Wimbledon game in July.

Azarenka, which is the 210th in the world rankings at the moment, received a `wild card` for the basic scheme of the Australian Opening Championship in mid-January, which is a champion in 2012 and 2013.

She trains hard and hopes to be able to participate if the California court decides in time for the custody case.
